Gann was making a very important point in this statement, for anyone who has spent years studying the markets knows that the majority of books available do not teach the principles that are needed to trade successfully. The reason for this is that many writers on market subjects are not actually traders, and as interesting as their books may seem, they do not contain the rules and techniques needed to be successful in trading. After reviewing Greg’s manuscripts and realizing that there was some exceptional material contained within them, we desired to confirm that these techniques had actually been put to the test in the markets, producing the results that most traders are looking for. Greg explained that when he first began to grasp the trading principles that really worked, he was able to take a $13,000 account and trade it up to $1.2 million in a period of 6 months.
This was a very
impressive claim, but we desired to see some evidence of this success, knowing
that everyone else will want to see the same, so Greg provided us with an
envelope of 29 trading tickets from a 14 month trading period which produced a
profit of almost $2,000,000, showing compiled returns of 2,453% on the
principal investments. What was even
more amazing about these trades, was that the average
time period of each trade was only 8 days, with only 8 of the 29 trades lasting
longer than 10 days, and 10 of the 29 being shorter than 3 days, half of those
being only 1 day trades and producing over $146,000 in profits alone. Even more amazingly, the average percentage
return on investment was 84%, with 6 trades producing over 100% return. For your own verification we have listed
these 29 trades and scanned about half of the tickets so you can see them for
yourself. We have the rest of the
tickets in our possession and can verify that they do say what we’ve listed, we just didn’t get around to
finishing editing them to blank out the account numbers personal details, and
