MYSTICISM

THE BREAKTHROUGH TECHNIQUES OF THE

INSTANT ZEN SCHOOL

ALSO KNOWN AS

THE SCHOOL OF MAHA KASAPYA'S

GREAT ABSORBSION IN QUIESCENCE

Franz Bardon defines all Universal Manifestation through two distinctions, Mysticism & Magick. Mysticism is the Art or Science of experiencing the Non-Dualistic Seat of Consciousness, the Central Unchanging Axis of Being of the Universe. Magick, according to Bardon, is EVERYTING ELSE! Mastery of the Mind leads Far, Far Beyond the Mind Field, to Mastery of the Self, which leads Far, Far Beyond the Self, to the Non-Self, the Non-Dualistic Consciousness of Pure Being, which leads Far, Far, Far, Far Beyond…

Magick, Yoga, Perfection, Mastery is the Gradual Path of the Zen Masters, leading toward Perfect Full Enlightenment, mastering every known phenomena along the way. The Great Zen Masters suggest an alternative path, however to that of the Gradual Path. This is the Instant Zen School, the School of Direct & Immediate Realization of the Fundamental Nature of Reality. They suggest a Radical Leap into the Infinite Expanses of Non-Dualistic Consciousness as a Precursor to Universal Mastery, and as its Fundamental Inspiration. Ultimately, say the ZEN Masters, everyone who enters that Unknowable Realm enter through the Porthole of the Instant School, it is generally just a matter of Time in following the Gradual Path. However, the INSTANT ZEN Masters point out a Shortcut, a way of Directly Barging Through the limitations of Human Perception. They use Contemplative Non-Dualistic A-Logical Formulas, to Snap the Consciousness of the Being Beyond the Limitations of Dualistic Cognition.

The Sacred Science Institute has chosen the Instant Zen School as our Duo-Millennium pick in the field of Mysticism, due to the directness, clarity and efficacy of its approach and presentation. We have selected two of the Clearest and Most Direct presentations of this material as an introduction to this Realization, while at the same time Emphasizing that Either One of These Has Everything You Need! We will present further titles in the future, and add samples from these wonderful texts.

We recommend the audio cassette as the best way to appreciate this stunning work. It is beautifully read and is like having your own personal ZEN Master speaking to you. It is the sort of tape which must be listened to dozens of times, but like a wedge, it will slowly but surely drive into Your Perception!

This book is full of anecdotes which pose puzzles to contemplate, the Penetration of which open the mind to Levels of Perception previously Unimagined. This is not a book to read once, or even three times, it does not feed the intellectual mind, At All! MINDING MIND: A COURSE IN BASIC MEDITATION

Translated By Thomas Cleary. Shambhala, 1995. 129 Pages. $10.00

This small but extremely clear, and direct collection of teachings by a number of the Greatest ZEN Masters is the perfect compliment to Instant Zen. These lectures present some of the clearest insights into the True Nature of ZEN Meditation, not sitting rigidly like a stump, but Perceiving Reality with your Original Mind. These are not boring instructions on how to keep your back straight and such nonsense, but Direct Instructions on how to Immediately Shift your Perception of Reality, Now, In The Moment! There is also the clearest explanation of the difference between the Instant and the Gradual Paths, something hard to find.

This collection of short, accessible works from Asia on the practice of meditation includes seven traditional texts from China, Japan, and Korea, written by renowned teachers from various Buddhist sects, covering a wide range of topics. Because of the growing popularity of meditative practices in many spiritual traditions, this anthology of Buddhist meditation manuals is timely. Collected here are texts that discuss a variety of techniques of meditation, the distinctions between sudden and gradual enlightenment, the value of Zen koan meditation, and the power of meditation in action. Cleary's translations are clear and lively. Minding Mind says its a basic meditation book, but get ready for some surprises!

The contributes all great masters from various time periods are obviously coming from a state of close enlightenment. One master states after giving a discourse "If I am deceiving you, in the future I will fall into eighteen hells. I promise to heaven and earth. If I am not being truthful, let me be devoured by tigers and wolves lifetime after lifetime. Not many of the authors on spiritual topics would promise that! How often can you get to listen to that wise master up in the Himalayas? Or the Zen master who says he has taken the route to the top of the mountain and can show you the way? Here you have a guide book to mindfulness which is after all the rest of the time (when not meditating). Every page is a jewel of wisdom, this book is for the beginner and the advanced practitioner. The book is broken down into sections which cover all the questions that a student would want to ask the enlightened master.
